International Congress of Adventure Tourism and Outdoor Sports - ICATOS

The research unit in Outdoor Sports (UNITAL) and  School of Sport and Leisure of Melgaço from the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo, will organize the 1st International Congress of Adventure Tourism and Outdoor Sports. The event will happen from 11 to 13 of October of 2018.

This Congress present itself has a place where different groups of investigation can exhibit, discuss and exchange ideas about thematics of Adventure Tourism and Outdoor Sports.
 

The themes are diverse, being organized in seven areas:​
i) risk and safety in outdoor sports;
ii) adventure tourism;
iii) performance in outdoor sports;
iv) teaching and learning in outdoor sports;
v) psychology in outdoor sports;
vi) recreation and leisure;
vii) business and economy impact.
 

ICATOS aims to represent a scientific hub for every professional that works in adventure tourism and outdoor sports.
